Mortgage Lending Processor – F/T, non-exempt

EFCU Financial Federal Credit Union, a dynamic credit union with an 84-year history of solid growth and stability in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an experienced and service-oriented team member to join our team as a Mortgage Lending Processor. 

In our service-focused organization, the Mortgage Lending Processor will answer questions from members on real estate loans and rates.  Gather and analyze financial information on members for the purpose of determining qualifying status for mortgage loans, Interview members for routine loans or to obtain additional information.  Review and verify all loan documents for accuracy and completeness.   This individual will coordinate the mortgage lending closing process and ensure all documents meet government compliance standards and the Credit Unions policies and procedures.    The Mortgage Lending Processor is also responsible for the post-closing on all mortgage lending files which includes uploading the closed loan to the servicing system.  This person will perform various other duties that may be required by the Vice President of Mortgage Lending.

Critical Knowledge, Skill and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to five years of mortgage lending experience.
  • Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and must maintain registration with NMLS as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
  • Strong loan documentation and regulatory compliance background is necessary including knowledge of title requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of Regulatory Compliance Requirements of a Depository Financial Institution.
  • Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in good customer relations.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
  • In depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services is a plus.

Member Service Representative I (Teller) – F/T

EFCU Financial Federal Credit Union, a dynamic credit union with an 83-year history of solid growth and stability in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an experienced and service-oriented team member to join our team as a Member Service Representative I. 

In our service-focused organization, Member Service Representatives serve as a liaison between the member and the Credit Union.  These individuals are responsible for providing account information, opening new accounts, and professionally handling members’ daily Credit Union needs.  They also provide a variety of transaction services to members and limited transactions to Credit Union Cooperative Branch (CUCB) guest members from other credit unions in a courteous, prompt, and accurate manner.

Critical Knowledge, Skill and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6 months of cash handling or teller experience.
  • Must have an inquisitive demeanor and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to understand members’ financial needs and knowledge to recommend products and services to support their financial needs.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union products and services is a plus.
